Commercial Boiler Systems

Large hot water boiler systems provide heat for commercial, industrial, and residential applications. This boiler heating plant provides heat for a large apartment community. The boilers make hot water that is circulated through a piping system for both heat and making domestic hot water. An entire community of people rely on these boilers to provide them with heat and hot water for showers, laundry, washing dishes, and for other hot water needs.

The boilers in the picture have the ability to heat with both gas or oil. These are referred to as dual fuel boilers and give the plant manager the ability to switch fuels used to run the boilers in the event of fuel price fluctuations or in case for some reason there was an interruption in service of the on fuel or another. With the volatile price fluctuations of gas and oil a large amount of energy savings can be realized by close monitoring of the prices. Another benefit to having dual fuel boilers are in case there is a problem with the oil burning system or the gas burning system the manager can switch over to the opposite fuel until repairs are made.
